Last month, English PEN were delighted to host the Burmese comedian Zarganar at the Free Word Centre in Farringdon. Zarganar is an Honorary Member of English PEN and a former political prisoner.
We’ve just uploaded some video clips from the event. Watch Zarganar give a speech, thanking PEN and Amnesty International for campaigning on his behalf. Zarganar also had an amusing discussion with Michael Mittermeier, the German comedian who was a prominent campaigner for Zarganar’s release.
