Elizabeth Macklin

Elizabeth Macklin is the author of two collections of poetry, A Woman Kneeling in the Big City (1992) and You've Just Been Told (2000).  She has been the recipient of an Ingram Merrill award, a Guggenheim Fellowship in Poetry, and an Amy Lowell Poetry Travelling Scholarship, which she spent in Bilbao, Spain, beginning studies in the Basque language.  Her translations from the the Basque have appeared in The New Yorker, Open City, Fence, and elsewhere, and she is at work on the poems for a third collection.  She makes her living as an editor in New York City.
