Fragile by Mikel Urdangarin

Fragile is translated from the Basque by Elizabeth Macklin

It's fall in this corner of the landscape.

You're dressed in green, tempting.

And I, on the other hand, again this fragile.

And you, on the other hand, as passionate as that.

Yes, perhaps I'd place my hand on your back,

drop it to your waist, to dance.

Lie down in this nest, sleep and

at twilight awaken.

It's a desert on this street.

You're dressed in mist, fruitful.

And I, on the other hand, again this fragile.

And you, on the other hand, as passionate as that.

Yes, perhaps I'd place my hand on your back,

drop it down to your waist, to dance.

Lie down in this nest, sleep and

at twilight awaken.

And, if longing put me inside you,

rest on your shoulder, lower.

Sheathe your belly, sleep and

forgetting awaken.

Hauskor (in the original Basque language)

Udazkena da bazterrean.

Berdez jantzi zara, zirikatzen.

Eta ni berriz hain hauskor.

Eta ni berriz horren suhar.

Bai, agian, bizkarean jarriko nizuke eskua,

hura jaitsi gerrira, dantzatu.

Ohantzean etzan, lokartu eta

iluntzean esna.

Desertua da kale honetan.

Linoz jantzi zara, emankor.

Eta ni berriz hain hauskor.

Eta zu berriz horren suhar.

Bai, agian, bizkarrean jarriko nizuke eskua,

hura jaitsi gerrira, dantzatu.

Ohantzean etzan, lokartu eta

iluntzean esna.

Eta zurera sartuko banindu gogoak,

sorbaldetan pausa, jaitsi magalera.

Sabelera josi, lokartu eta

ahanzturan esna.
