Practical information for translators

The following information may be useful to translators:

Rates

The Translators Association recommends minimum rates of renumeration.  Currently, these are:

£70 per 1,000 words for prose

£0.75 per line for poetry

Model Contract

Qualifications

The Institute of Linguists Eduational Trust is an awarding body which offers vocationally related qualifications in a wide variety of languages from 'A' Level to post-graduate equivalent.  Find out more here
