Awarded for the best translation of a full-length French work of literary merit and general interest.  The original must have been first published in the last 150 years.

Prize: £1000
Closing date for entries: 20 December 2002

Winner announced: Autumn 2003
Submit: 3 copies of the translation and 3 copies of the original text
