Blake Morrison & Roddy Doyle

Rory Doyle, Blake Morrison and Roddy Doyle

Two leading contemporary writers whose recent work has focused on their parents joined forces in November, at St Paul’s Church in central London.

Blake Morrison’s new book Things my mother never told me is a compelling companion volume to his And when did you last see your father?

Roddy Doyle’s new book Rory and Ita recounts the life of his parents, suffused with his legendary skill in illuminating ordinary experience.

The evening was chaired by Financial Times literary editor Jan Dalley.
