All members are invited to attend a General Meeting of English PEN on:
Friday, 24 January 2014 6pm-8 pm
at the Free Word Centre, 60 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3GA.
The purpose of the meeting is to vote on an amendment to English PEN’s Articles of Association, principally a resolution on how a new President may be elected.
This is an important resolution and it is imperative that English PEN secures a quorum for the meeting.
Please do try to attend in person. If this is impossible for you, we request that you appoint a proxy. We also enclose below the full details of the notice about the meeting, the draft Articles of Association, and the proxy voting form, which you are asked to return to us by 22 January.
You can return the proxy form either by printing it out and posting it back as indicated; or you may scan it and email it to the attention of Heather Norman Soderlind, Deputy Director, at email@example.com. Please note the scanned version must include your signature.
You will also receive this notice with accompanying papers by post in early January.
Thank you for your patience with this process.
