International Writers’ Residence seeks applications from English PEN members

Le Chateau de Lavigny, a writers’ residence in Vaud, Switzerland, is soliciting applications for its 2004 Summer residencies.

The Chateau aims to offer and foster a “spirit of international community and creativity”, and encourages emerging writers as well as established ones to apply (although unpublished writers are not accepted). It looks for writers interested in exchanging their ideas as well as concentrating on their own work.

Sessions at the Chateau last three weeks and run from the beginnning of June to mid-September. A private room and all meals are provided. The closing date for this year’s applications is March 1st.
