Awarded for the best translation of a full-length French work of literary merit and general interest.  The original must have been first published in the last 150 years.

Winner announced: Autumn 2003
Submit: 3 copies of the translation and 3 copies of the original text

Most recent winner (2003): Linda Asher for her translation of Ignorance by Milan Kundera (Faber & Faber)

Runner-up: Carol Brown Janeway for her translation of Desolation by Yasmina Reza (Hamish Hamilton)
