English PEN is delighted to announce our Art Matters auction, featuring original artwork by illustrator Chris Riddell
In September 2018, English PEN joined Neil Gaiman and Chris Riddell to celebrate the publication of ART MATTERS (Headline Books) with broadcaster and presenter Lauren Laverne. ART MATTERS is a creative call to arms from the mind of Neil Gaiman, combining his extraordinary words with deft and striking illustrations by Chris Riddell. Drawn together from speeches, poems and creative manifestos, it explores how reading, imagining and creating can change the world.
We are hugely grateful to Chris Riddell for donating the drawings he produced live at the event to help support PEN’s work and campaigns for writers at risk around the world.
