English PEN staff and representatives from two of our outreach partner organisations will be taking part in the 10th annual House of Lords Chamber Debate today. Over 200 people, from all generations and from across the United Kingdom, have been invited to take part in the debate, which will be chaired by The Lord Speaker, Baron Fowler of Sutton Coldfield.
The motion for the debate is ‘Should there be limits to free speech in the UK‘ with participants arguing three viewpoints: No Limits, Censor It, and Monitor It.
