TOM HOLLAND wins the Hessell Tiltman Prize for History – £3000 plus a silver Dupont Pen – for RUBICON: THE TRIUMPH AND TRAGEDY OF THE ROMAN REPUBLIC (Little Brown)
BRYAN MAGEE wins the J.R. Ackerley Prize for Autobiography – £1000 plus a silver Dupont Pen – for CLOUDS OF GLORY: A HOXTON CHILDHOOD (Jonathan Cape)
