Writer and BBC broadcaster Harriett Gilbert chaired an in-depth look at how writers and artists are working with people with dementia, with a focus on work involving the written word. She was in discussion with Susanna Howard (Living Words), David Clegg (Trebus Project), Penny Fosten (The Reader Organisation) and Myra Barrs, partner of poet James Berry, about the possibilities and challenges of writing, reading and listening projects for people with dementia. The evening closed with readings of James Berry’s poetry by author and poet Malika Booker.
