South Korean author and academic Hwang Sun-mi has had her work translated into more than 18 languages. Her best known work, the fable The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly, was adapted into an animated film that broke box office records in Korea. Filmed at the PEN Literary Salon at London Book Fair 2014, Sun-mi talks to Maya Jaggi (The Guardian) about The Hen, growing up in Korea and having her work adapted for cinema.
